Bass player Donald “Duck” Dunn who played with Booker T and the MGs, has died in Tokyo, where he was on tour with Steve “The Colonel” Cropper.
He was 70 years old.
Dunn died in his sleep Sunday morning May 13 in Japan after finishing 2 shows at the Blue Note Night Club.
“Today I lost my best friend. The World has lost the best guy and bass player to ever live,” Cropper wrote on his Facebook page.
