Last week we wrote about the amazingly realistic paintings by Australian artist Robin Eley that are so lifelike that would be automatically inclined to believe you are looking at a photograph – this week we’ve got the pencil drawings of Diego Fazio!
Fazio is just 22-years-old and a self-taught artist, he began his career by designing tattoos inspired by the work of Katsushika Hokusai and has since been working on perfecting the photorealism technique.
As you can see on his DeviantArt’s page, Fazio’s pencil drawings are just bursting with depth and texture and really do look like black-and-white photographs.
Fazio was born in the Czech Republic but currently resides in Italy. He has won the NonfermArti Audience Award for Best Artist in 2011 and his obvious skill and artistic vision are currently getting him a great deal of attention. Looking at a selection of his works, it isn’t difficult to see why, Fazio has some serious talent!
