We are quite used to hearing about all the various idiosyncratic demands that superstars make, whether it’s a certain type of flower for the dressing room, specific security requirements, food prepared in a certain way – we have pretty much heard it all, but these latest revelations about Madonna have got to be amongst the strangest!
According to concert promoter Álvaro Ramos, who is in charge of the Portuguese leg of Madonna’s MDNA tour, the infamous diva has employed a sterilization team to remove all traces of hair, saliva and skin from her dressing room, we presume, on the off-chance that her adoring fans attempt to get their hands on her precious DNA!!
Apparently, Madonna is well-known for being a bit of a hygiene freak and has demanded a new toilet seat at every venue on a tour in the past!
Ramos told the British newspaper, the Daily Mirror that only members of her entourage are allowed backstage passes and they have to take extreme caution to adhere to Madonna’s rules and the demands she made were unlike those made by any other artist.
Well, I wouldn’t want to piss Madge off, would you?
He also said: “Her team will build everything for her, including fake ceilings and fake walls, so they can ensure that no one has hidden a camera somewhere.”
The concert promoter said he “understood” why Madonna went to such lengths, but felt that it was taken to “extremes”…Ya think??
