Have you got a 6 figure salary? Or have a few spare million lying around in the bank that you could put to good use fighting criminal overlords and defending your precious city?
No, me neither, but I reckon, if you are a comic book fan like I am, you have probably wondered at some stage, just how much it would cost to be Batman.
To coincide with the hotly anticipated release of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises we bring you this awesome little infographic via Money Supermarket which elaborates on just how much it would cost to be the crime fighting caped crusader in your spare time.
According to the graph, the combined total of Batman’s vehicles alone come to a staggering $80m, that is including the Tumbler, the Batpod and the Bat, if he wants to add any others to that collection, then he’s going to need to dig even deeper!
Batman’s not very humble abode, Wayne Manor costs a whopping $600m with annual running costs of $37,000. His spectacular costume that gives him some degree of invincibility costs just under $2m and let’s not forget the serious arsenal of weapons that he has stockpiled under the bed which also set him back a pretty penny!
These expenses, plus the several others elaborated on in the infographic place the total cost of being Batman at $682,451,350. Better start saving then…
Thankfully Bruce Wayne inherited his fortune and runs the hugely successful Wayne Enterprises who are responsible for providing many of his state of the art crime-fighting gadgets, otherwise we can imagine that he might have had to have quite a few uncomfortable chats with his bank manager!
