
A video game and console collector based in Italy has put his gargantuan collection on eBay and set the starting bid at $550,000. It might sound like a lot, but the seller *videogames.museum* has been accumulating the collection for more than 30 years and it includes thousands of items.
He believes that the person who wins the bidding on the collection should use it to open a museum dedicated to games and gaming.
The collection includes more than 6850 games, 330 consoles, 220 controllers (including basic joypads and more advanced arcade joysticks as well as other rare and specialist types), around 185 accessories like ac adaptors, av cables, memory cards, battery packs etc and some limited edition promotional items like soundtracks and gadgets.
