Chinese Woman Had Spider In Ear For 5 Days

Chinese Woman Had Spider In Ear For 5 Days

Just when you thought things were going to be ok because spiders can’t fly, a story like this one from China’s Hunan province come along to ruin any chance you had of getting a good night’s sleep ever again.

A Ms. Lee visited China’s Changsha Central Hospital last week, suffering the symptoms of an itchy ear canal. When doctors examined the poor, unfortunate woman’s ear they discovered a furry little arachnid had set up residence there!! WTF!!

The idea of a spider crawling inside your ear is bad enough to give you nightmares until the end of time and then some, but imagine finding out that it had spend 5, yes FIVE days in there!! I’m shuddering so bad that I am actually struggling to write this article!!

The doctors treating Ms. Lee flushed the nasty little creature out using a saline solution because they were worried incase the little bugger decided to dig his barbs in deeper if he was poked or prodded… right, that’s it, I don’t think I will ever sleep soundly again.

The people who bring us useless and probably unfounded statistics tell us that on average, a human being will swallow up to 4 spiders in their sleep each year. Well excuse me, I’m off to invest in a mask to sleep in that covers every possible orifice that one of those disgusting little arachnids could possible creep into. And I don’t care what it looks like, as long as it keeps those hairy 8-legged monsters away!

I don’t know what’s worse, the idea of having a spider within touching distance of your brainpan for the best part of a week or having squid sperm attach itself to the inside of your mouth, like the terrifying ordeal experienced by a Korean lady a few months ago.
