In a tale remarkably similar to the hit television series Breaking Bad, William Duncan, a chemistry teacher from East Texas, was arrested for selling home-brewed crystal meth in the parking lot of the school where he teaches!!!
In the television show, the protagonist high school teacher Walter White dabbles in the side business of methamphetamine cooking. He is compelled to do this after discovering he has terminal cancer and is overwhelmed by the urge to leave his family a nest egg to support them when he is gone.
We do not know if the chemistry teacher in this case has any extenuating circumstances that might make us feel a little bit of sympathy for him, but we doubt it.
Surprisingly, the school has not yet fired the disgraced chemistry teacher, he has been placed on administrative release pending the result of the investigation. Innocent until proven guilty I guess.
Police working on the case have said that they do not believe that any of Duncan’s customers were actually students from the school.
This is not the first time that a scenario similar to the plotline of Breaking Bad has leaked into the real world. In August, Alabama cops were hunting another meth maker who actually shared his name with the show’s protagonist Walter White, this guy wasn’t a science teacher, but it is still very weird indeed.
