Fallen star George Michael has been cautioned for possession of drugs after being arrested in Hampstead Heath on Friday night.

The 45 year old was caught with a small amount of cannabis and crack cocaine at a notorious meeting place for gay men in North London.

A Met Police’s rep said: “I can confirm that a 45-year-old man was arrested on September 19 on suspicion of possession of drugs in the Hampstead Heath area. He was taken to a north London police station where he received a caution for possession of class A and class C drugs.”

A source said: ‘George has always liked smoking a bit of dope and he’s taken it a bit too far sometimes but he’s never really gone much further. It’s pretty worrying.’

Michael, whose real name is Georgios Panayiotou was in police custody for several hours and the cops have said that no further action will be taken.
