According to US Magazine singer Jewel, 34, (do you still remember her?) married a cowboy dude called Ty Murray on a beach at the Atlantis/Cove Resort in the Bahamas on Thursday.

“I dreamt about this day since I was a little girl on a ranch in Alaska,” Jewel said in the statement. “It was relaxed and romantic. I wore a traditional wedding gown and diamonds and he wore jeans and a button down shirt! Ty’s definitely my perfect prince.”

Said Murray: “We both have been so blessed in our lives. We’re lucky to have each other and look forward to starting a family together.”

“Jewel is thrilled! It was so romantic,” a source tells Us. “She looked beautiful! Her dress is gorgeous, the ring is gorgeous. They can’t be happier!”

“Ty’s been so supportive and steady,” she told Redbook in 2006. “I always say he’s a stand-up guy in a world of flakes.

“He’s very direct, very straightforward,” she added. “You never have to guess with him. And that reliability is really comforting. Especially for somebody as capricious as myself.”

The newly wed couple have been dating for more than a decade and share a 2,200-acre central Texas ranch with their shitzu George.
