…Joel Madden with a baby carriage, since he and Nicole Ritchie are reportedly revising the old adage and skipping the whole “then comes marriage” bit, at least temporarily.

The Good Charlotte frontman and “author/actress/celeb” are refuting rumors that they will marry on October 13, citing that Joel’s band will be on tour at the time.  A source close to Madden says that the rumor is false and that the couple has been laughing about it.

What I have to wonder is why in the world those rumors would have started in the first place?  Marriage before having a child together?  Why, that’s just so…typical…traditional…preferrable.  I can’t even imagine why anyone would have such a hysterically false assumption.  The nerve!
