The Chainsaw Robot That Carves Stools Out Of Logs

chainsaw robot The Chainsaw Robot That Carves Stools Out Of Logs

This video clip shows a terrifying chainsaw robot impressively carve two stools from a piece of log. Whilst I can see why this might be fairly functional (after all, where would be park our posteriors if not for stools?) it is still pretty damn scary.

Watch as the robot, designed by Tibor Weissmahr and Tom Pawlofsky brandishes the chainsaw around in the wood, with the end result being two perfectly formed stools.

Impressive as robot chainsaw may be, I sure as hell wouldn’t want to be anywhere near this thing if it has a malfunction! Continue Reading

Watch The Whole Of Mega’s Flamboyant Launch Party

Since larger-than-life entrepreneur Kim Dotcom launched file-hosting and storage site Mega on Saturday, a hell of a lot has been written about the new service and indeed the exceedingly flamboyant party that Dotcom hosted at his New Zealand mansion to celebrate the launch.

There was a colorful Māori performance on a festival-sized stage, a powerful and affecting speech from Dotcom himself and of course the “agents” rappelling into the party from a black helicopter that was labeled FBI – a stunt put on by Dotcom to commemorate the raid that took place at his property, exactly one year prior to the launch of Mega.

Fans of Dotcom and Mega who weren’t lucky enough to attend the launch party in person (and I imagine that there are many of you) can now watch it in its entirety as Dotcom has been kind enough to put it YouTube!

Man Vs. Subway: Who Do You Think Will Be Victorious?

In this short clip entitled “Man vs. Subway” a man wearing a helmet camera races with a subway train on the Paris Metro. The aim of the game is to get off the train at one station and see if you can beat it to the next station on the line, whilst trying not to trip on the stairs, bump into other commuters casually strolling through the station or get run over whilst pelting across a busy intersection.

I’m really intrigued as to what the cops were thinking in the police car that he darts past at the around the 2 minute mark!

Right, now I want to see him do this along the length of London’s Piccadilly Line!

In Russia This Is How We Destroy Chinese Knockoff iPhones!

fake iphone knockoff In Russia This Is How We Destroy Chinese Knockoff iPhones!

This short video that was uploaded by YouTuber lpoleschtschuk shows the gruesome fate that befell 127 knockoff Chinese iPhones.

Unfortunately I don’t have a hell of a lot of information about the details of this footage, but I’m assuming that the counterfeits were intercepted at the airport or docks. I’m just musing but perhaps the Russians made this video as a caution to the Chinese counterfeiters – a kind of ‘see what happens to your stuff when you try and sneak it into our country’ warning!

An excavator in the Amur region of Russia makes short work of the phony phones as they crumble and crack under the weight of the vehicle. Even though we know that the phones are fake, I’m sure most iPhone owners won’t be able to help cringing while they watch this! Continue Reading

Is This The Most Efficient Beer Case Recycling Operation In The World?

This short clip that shows a group of Romanian warehouse workers sorting through cases of beer for recycling at dizzying speeds might just be the most efficient beer case recycling operation in the whole damn world!

There is no argument that the task in hand is carried out LIKE A BOSS as these guys make short work of the huge crates that roll into their path.

I wonder if they have an incentive, like perhaps some free beer for every 1000 cases they sort out or whatever. Either way, it’s pretty impressive, I wonder if they are available for private hire? I could do with some help sorting out all the mammoth heaps of crap that I own!

Why You Should Never Toss Snowballs At Someone Who Has A Huge Water Hose

Hosed Why You Should Never Toss Snowballs At Someone Who Has A Huge Water Hose

This video is a wonderful example of why you should only engage in a snowball fight with people who also only have snowballs as weapons. Pelting someone who is holding a gigantic water hose with snowballs is only going to end badly – as is clearly illustrated by the clip.

The guy must have thought he was funny lobbing snowballs at these government employees who are just getting on with their work, minding their own business and all that and he probably assumed that they wouldn’t dare turn the huge water hose they were holding onto their tormentor in retaliation!!

Unfortunately for him though, they showed that they really weren’t afraid to let rip, soaking the snowball-tosser from head-to-foot in water that was probably freezing cold. The guy was subjected to several blasts from the hose because he was daft enough to hang around and try to continue the battle – rather than running for his life. Or maybe he was just frozen to the spot – who knows! Continue Reading

Jason Shron is “the guy with the train in his basement” – he loves VIA Trains so much he decided to recreate one in his home!
This short video gives you a guided tour of Shron’s basement-VIA Train and a little insight into how he created it and why he loves them so much.

Shron has been a VIA Train fan since he was a youngling, so when he became a grown up and had the means to create his own one – he set about making his dream a reality.

He purchased an old train car that was about to be scrapped and harvested its fixtures and fittings, creating an incredibly realistic replica in his basement. It took 2,500 hours of work spread out over 4.5 years to complete the project, but you can tell Shron is chuffed with his basement-train as his smile beams from ear-to-ear when he talks about it.
