The Bachelor Comes Clean on Ellen
The Bachelor, Brad Womack, clears up a few misconceptions on Ellen today. Earlier in the week, Ellen interviewed DeAnna Pappas, one of Brad’s two remaining girls. She was the favored to “win”. On this show Ellen repeatedly called Brad a jerk. She later felt bad for having called him a name. So she had him on to apologize and give him the opportunity to set things straight.
The biggest thing America was misled on was that Brad had the producers fly DeAnna’s Father out so that he could propose to her. In actuality, the producers took it upon themselves to make sure her father was there, just in case. That definitely takes away a few negative marks from my book.
The other thing Brad said that he really regretted saying was when he told DeAnna that “tomorrow would be a good day.” He said he got caught up in the moment and did not mean to mislead her. Well, mislead he did, but everyone is entitled to a few mistakes, right?
I think it’s time we move on and leave this poor guy alone.
Angelina Jolie - Entertainment Weekly’s Entertainer of the year 2007
Angelina Jolie was named one of the top-25 stars of 2007 by Entertainment Weekly, Congratulations!
EW writes:
“Angelina Jolie is currently fulfilling fanboy fantasies in Beowulf with her role as Grendel’s mom. Grendel’s naked mom. In digital 3-D, no less. But energizing her base is hardly the 32-year-old actress’ only accomplishment this year. In A Mighty Heart, Jolie strapped on a prosthetic pregnancy belly, donned a curly wig, and delivered the sort of heart-wrenching turn that reminded audiences why she won that Academy Award (for 1999’s Girl, Interrupted) in the first place. In other words, she acted.” Read EW’s full article on Angelina here

Swedish women fight for the freedom of their Breasts!
Swedish Newspaper Metro reports that Swedish women have launched a campaign called ‘Just Breasts’ which fights for their right to go topless on beaches and in swimming pools. Scandinavian feminists were outraged when two women were asked to cover up their breasts by a lifeguard at a public pool near Stockholm.
One of the women, 22-year-old Ragnhild Karlsson, says that: ‘If women are forced to wear a top, shouldn’t men also have to?’ As a result, women in southern Sweden set up the ‘Bara Brost’ network, which translates as ‘Just Breasts’.
A spokeswoman for the group said: ‘We want our breasts to be as normal and desexualised as men’s, so that we too can pull off our shirts at football matches.’ So far, the campaign’s strategy has been devastatingly effective. Members of Just Breasts have been jumping into swimming pools across the country wearing nothing more than bikini bottoms.
This tactical masterstroke has caused an upheaval in Swedish law - the country’s equal opportunities ombudsman will decide whether or not to take up the case later this month.
