Britney Spears and Dr. Phil from TMZWhen it was first reported that Britney was paid a visit by Dr. Phil before checking out of Cedars-Sinai, a very different picture was painted than what is now being recounted. We were led to believe that it was an hour long heart-to-heart that ended by the good doctor escorting Britney hand in hand to her car. There were rumors swarming that Brit-Brit would reeord a tell-all for this show this week.

Not true. None of it. I thought it sounded a little too warm and fuzzy considering the subject.

Here’s what TMZ is reporting today. Dr. Phil blindsided Britney. It was her family that orchestrated the visit. She walked out of the room when he showed up, came back in, and gave him 10 minutes of her time. As far as him walking her lovingly to her car…..he walked behind her and she was supposedly unaware.

What about her having a sit down on his show? Nope. Her parents have agreed to tape Monday’s show that will be shown on Tuesday. In fact, someone at the hospital was quoted as saying, “it would be a cold day in hell before Britney would appear on his show.”
