British Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver has apparently found rare Joy Division and New Order master tapes when excavating the basement of his new posh restaurant in Manchester, which is currently being built in an old Midland bank.
The TV chef made a bank-busting find recently when builders renovating his latest restaurant found hundreds of safety deposit boxes dating back to 1935. But the owners of the boxes could not be traced by the Bank of England so bank bosses used drills to bust them open to find rare New Order and Joy Division master tapes, jewels and gold as well as a very reasonable collection of guns. The total value of the discovery is £1.1m.
Since no owners of the valuables were found, everything went to the treasury.
