Check out this clip of a 56-year-old woman trying to go up an MBTA escalator in her motorized scooter. I’m sure we don’t need to tell you, her mission was something of an epic fail!
After seeming like it might work initially, the woman’s scooter flips, doing what is almost a full backwards roll. Bystanders run to her aid and thankfully somebody has the good sense to hit the emergency stop button on the escalator before the woman was hurt and she actually got up and walked away from the whole crazy calamity!
The whole thing was captured on an MBTA surveillance camera. They MBTA are currently in the process of installing more cameras in order to help them cut down on crime, but also to alert them when passengers have accidents like the woman shown here.
More surveillance cameras also mean that whenever people are daft enough to do stupid shit like try and go up an escalator in a motorized scooter, their bizarre acts have a medium through which to find their way to the place that they belong – the internet!
