Blush Lingerie Shows Support For Pussy Riot With Underwear Advert

It has been a year since several of the members of Russian punk activist group Pussy Riot were arrested and jailed for protesting against Vladimir Putin on the altar of a Moscow cathedral and as part of an advertising campaign to show their support, Blush Lingerie had a woman wearing only some skimpy lacy undergarments and a balaclava prance through the streets of Russia.

The effort aims to raise money intended to help some of the members of the band that are still jailed. Some are claiming that the Berlin-based lingerie company’s efforts are simply an example of a brand jumping upon the back of a political protest in order to gain financially, however others are a little less cynical about the campaign.

Meh, personally I think who cares if they sell a couple of panties and bras whilst drawing attention to the Pussy Riot cause, I don’t think we can really begrudge them that.
