These days we’ve got machines that can pretty much do everything for us, there are all sorts out there; Driverless cars, trash cans that move around to catch your rubbish, you name it, there is probably a machine out there that can do it for you.

But an Automatic Sperm Extractor? Really? For Sure? WTF!

Apparently there was an entry on China’s Weibo social networking platform about Automatic Sperm Extractors being used at a Nanjing hospital that needless to say, ended up going viral.

There are some pictures and a video of this ‘interesting’ machine, which apparently works by having an adjustable ‘massage pipe’ which operates at the frequency chosen by the user. We are not quite sure how the frequencies are named but we really hope they have titles like “gently does it” and “hell-for-leather.”

The entry said that when the extractor is turned on, the screen will play movies that will help enable the user to get into the “mood.”

There was a rumor going round that extractor was intended to make life easier for sperm donors (coz it is such a difficult profession) but that myth has been dispelled by the director of urology at the Zhengzhou Central Hospital. Dr. Zhu claims that the machine is actually just used to help infertility patients who can’t seem to get that pesky sperm out any other way.

Dr. Zhu said: “Perhaps netizens misunderstood the usage of the machine, and thought it was used for sperm donation. In fact, sperm banks have very high standards; donors must go through strict medical examination and they will definitely not use a sperm extractor.”

Apparently users of the sperm extractor have to wear a condom, which can affect the quality of semen because of the spermicide they contain, thus meaning it’s not great for sperm donation. I wonder though, if this doesn’t have the same consequences for infertility patients?

Despite the condom ruling, the machine is still incredibly popular at the Zhengzhou Central Hospital averaging between 20 and 30 visitors each day. Haha, I wonder why!!

I’m also intrigued by what would happen if any trigger happy cowboys decided not to adhere to condom legislation, would they end up getting a lifetime ban?

For those of you interested in conducting ‘infertility experiments’ in the home, Automatic Sperm Extractors are available for sale on the Chinese e-commerce site Alibaba, although I reckon they might set you back a bit more than your average sex toy!
