Adorable Biped Robot That Can Walk The Tightrope

Check out this supremely cute little biped robot from Dr. Guero that can walk the tightrope! Looking like a friendly transformer, Dr. Guero’s biped takes one step off the platform and then shuffles his way across the wire which he slots into a grove in his foot.

I’m not quite sure if the little bot is moving his arms in that way for balance or because he is doing a little dance to the music in the background. Also a nice touch is the victory bow he performs after successfully completing his task.

I wonder what world-record breaking tightrope walker Adil Hoshur thinks of the robot’s feat, I mean it is hardly like crossing the Dehang Canyon, but pretty impressive nonetheless!

Also impressive is the video of another of Dr. Guero’s biped’s riding a bicycle – without stabilizers!! Watch as he goes round and round, changes direction and stops and starts. If only it was a little bit bigger and could carry a newspaper, it might end up replacing the paperboy!
