The iPhone has definitely become more than just a smartphone, partly because of all the apps and accessories that people keep making for it. Like the 3DCone by Saturn3DDesign, for instance.

It’s an add-on that will turn your iPhone into a stereoscopic camera so you can shoot photos and videos that are rendered in 3D. It’s pretty easy to use, too. Simply snap the 3DCone onto your phone, shoot stuff, and process the footage using the included app and you’re good to go.

The 3DCone works by using a mirror to take two pictures of your subject at slightly different angles. These are then combined by the app to create the three-dimensional image.

The 3DCone is currently up for funding on Kickstarter, where a minimum pledge of $39 will get you your very own 3DCone package which includes a 3DCone plus a pair of 3D glasses.
