Rose McGowan has called off her engagement to director Robert Rodrigue after three years of dating.
Sources say that shortly after McGowan finished shooting Rodriguez’s directed Machete, which co-stars Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Alba and Robert De Niro, she dropped him faster than Paris Hilton’s itch.
But we have a feeling that it’s not really over yet, Rose has a starring role in the she-devil comic book adaptation Red Sonja, a film which Rodriguez is set to produce.
Girlfriend still need a job, since he was the only one hiring her.
The couple started dating in 2006, after having met on the set of Grindhouse, which was directed by Rodriguez and starred McGowan as a stripper with a machine-gun leg. Back then, it was rumoured that the director even left his wife of 16 years, producer Elizabeth Avellán, for the actress.
McGowan, 36, and Rodriguez, 41, went public with their relationship at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2007 and announced their engagement in October 2007.
