
MASH writer Larry Gelbart has passed away from cancer yesterday morning.
He was 81 year old.
He had been diagnosed with cancer back in June and died in the Beverly Hills home he shares with his wife.
Larry film writing credits include “Tootsie”, “Oh, God!” and “Blame it on Rio” as well as hit comedy series MASH. He also received a Tony Award for his writing of the Broadway musical, “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum”.
Larry Gelbart is survived by his wife, Pat, two children, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and six stepchildren.
