A Michael Jackson’s film documenting the final weeks of his life entitled ‘This is It’ will be released by Sony worldwide for only two weeks starting on October 28.

The movie will feature rehearsal footage from the King of Pop’s London’s O2 Arena concerts as well as videos from his July comeback tour shot just days before he died on June 25.

Sony said “Audiences will be given a privileged and private look at the singer, dancer, filmmaker, architect, and genius as he creates and perfects his final show.”

Tickets for the flick will go on sale September 27, almost a month before the movie is released.

Crazy!

Does this mean, they want to cash in on the DVD release of the documentary instead?

As far as we know, concert promoter AEG Live handed Sony over 100 hours worth of video footage, which was shot from April through June.

With so much materials available, we don’t think ‘This is it’ will be the last MJ’s movie.

We’re sure Sony want to exploit honour the late singer more in the future.

Director Kenny Ortega said “As we began assembling the footage for the motion picture, we realized we captured something extraordinary, unique and very special. It’s a very private, exclusive look into a creative genius’ world. But with this film, we get a rare portrait of Michael as he prepares for his final curtain call and what I believe was going to be his master work.”

According to US Magazine, a final cut of the film must be screened for representatives of his estate no later than Oct. 2, must be rated PG and cannot include material that “presents Michael Jackson in a negative light.”

Nice!

And Cheezy! and child friendly!

Will U be seeing the film?!
