Last night Paula Addul announced on her Twitter page that she has quit the reality talent show after eight seasons.
Abdul writes:
“With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to #IDOL. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all … being a part of a show that I helped from day 1 become an international phenomenon.”
Today Fox has issued the following statement following Abdul departures.
The statement reads: “Paula Abdul has been an important part of the ‘American Idol’ family over the last eight seasons and we are saddened that she has decided not to return to the show. While Paula will not be continuing with us, she’s a tremendous talent and we wish her the best.”

if Idol loses Paula, they will lose a huge draw for the show… sometimes i wonder why they even bother trying to act like it’s a “seriously judged” talent show; it looks like even Simon is getting bored
