We are shocked, but not surprised by this.

The Los Angeles Times reported, at least six staff members at the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Department improperly accessed Michael Jackson’s death certificate more than 300 times in the last couple of weeks.

And in some cases, staff members printed the death certificate before it had become a public record.

Chief coroner investigator, Craig Harvey said: “There’s only one person in the investigation of Mr. Jackson who needed to have a copy of the death certificate, and that was the investigator.”

Harvey learned about the breached files after he received a tip alleging that a funeral home employee created a fake death certificate for the King of Pop in the computer system.

Although Harvey did not discover the fraudulent death certificate, he discovered the names of coroner’s employees who had looked at the document inappropriately.

Investigations by the coroner’s office have also uncovered vulnerabilities in two computer systems in which the singer’s death investigation reports are stored.

“We took extra steps to plug those holes,” said the Chief coroner Investigator regarding the computer’s vulnerabilities, but he declined to say what those weaknesses were.

Some people are shameless and will do anything to make a buck.
