Today a £1 million memorial was unveiled in Hyde Park by The Prince of Wales and Prime Minister Gordon Brown in tribute to the people killed in the terrorist attacks.

Twenty six of the 3.5m tall stainless steel pillars were grouped to represent those killed on the Underground near King’s Cross. Other clusters represented the tragic victims who lost their lives in the Tube bombing victims at Aldgate and Edgware Road.

Prince Charles and the Minister for London, Tessa Jowell, addressed the unveiling ceremony today, before the names of the victims were read out and a minute’s silence was observed.

We encourage y’all to remember 7/7 today.
